Application Architect

Regal IT Services, Inc. has multiple openings in Houston, TX
Job Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VMware vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vRealize IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), vRealize DEM (Distributed Execution Manager), and vRealize SSO Servers (Single Sign-On) across multiple data centers
  • Work with the orchestration engineers in the laying out of vRA workflows, blueprints for the delivery of a variety of services.
  • Develop scripts for automation using puppet, python & Powershell core for server provisioning automation using VRA/VRO.
  • Design & deploy Nutanix Clusters using Prism Element & Prism Central on ESXi & Acropolis hypervisors.
  • Design, develop and implement strategies on physical infrastructure using SQL.
  • Integrate with QIP and AppviewX Systems for building infrastructure per business requirements using vRealize Orchestration and Automation
  • Build servers both in Physical and Virtual Environments and Install OS and configure the applications.
  • Job Requirements:

Requires Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 1 year experience.

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
  • Monitor progress and liaise between business and technical teams to ensure that projects are delivered as per the project requirements.
  • Prepare Functional and Technical design documents.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Coordinate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Grooming, and Release Planning as per SAFe Agile standards.
  • Coordinate development and access to environments and update Project Test Strategy as needed.
  • Utilize JIRA, Confluence, SAFe Agile, & SCRUM.
  • Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

  • Oversee and review Business Requirements Gap Analysis of Client requirements.
  • Coordinate and guide workflow process and review necessary documents for the project.
  • Use BI tools like Tableau to Compile, integrate, analyze and review data from multiple sources to identify trends and address business questions, issues, and opportunities.
  • Assess and review application functionality to support the product for future enhancements.
  • Oversee agile ceremonies like scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, sprint planning, and sprint review.
  • Attend internal Technology meetings with Data Modelers, Architects and Developers to formulate a design.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software, SharePoint, Agile Master, Service Now, ALM. Will work in unanticipated locations.
